About the Tri-State Oil and Gas Convention

In 2010, a group of civic and business leaders in Woodward saw the need for an annual energy convention in our part of the state. A service and production hub between Oklahoma City and Denver, Woodward was the natural fit to host such a conference.

With the opening of the Woodward Conference Center in 2012, Tri-State Oil and Gas Convention planners began a grass roots effort to host the first show of its kind in the Tri-State Region of Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas. Our first year was a success, and we have continued since. 

As our mission statement states, Tri-State Oil and Gas will host an annual forum in Woodward for regional oil and gas producers and service companies to attend. It is the sincere intent of Tri-State Oil and Gas Convention to provide a learning platform for our attendees enabling them to learn safer and more effective ways to perform their day-to-day duties.

Highlights of our annual convention include honoring the legacy of worldwide energy pioneer Bobby Joe Cudd, educational breakout sessions on current oil & gas topics, a golf tournament and scholarships awarded to area high school seniors.  Legacy awards honor industry veterans who exhibit the spirit of energy pioneer Bobby Joe Cudd, who was proud to call Woodward home.  Educational breakout sessions run the day of the convention.  Topics include environmental updates, legislative updates and an industry outlook.  The golf tournament sells out routinely as we take over Boiling Springs Golf Club.  The tournament proceeds benefit scholarships for high school seniors.  Our scholarship winners and their families are honored guests at our annual awards ceremony along with the Bobby Joe Cudd Legacy Award winners.
